Case studies

Three outdoor rooms across Valencia — different depths, wind, and neighbour distances, same attention to how people actually sit outside.

Ruzafa ledge for morning coffee

6.2 m² · west sun · design fee €1.620

A couple wanted breakfast outdoors without roasting after 10:00. We shifted seating to the north rail, added a pale composite strip underfoot, and hung three clamp planters with rosemary that soften the view into the opposite kitchen.

A folding bistro set stores flat against the wall on laundry days. Total furniture spend stayed under €780 using suppliers on Calle de Sueca.

El Carmen courtyard privacy

4.8 m² · mixed light · design fee €2.150

A bedroom door opened onto a shared courtyard sightline. Community rules blocked solid walls, so we proposed a freestanding lattice with climbing jasmine in a trough and a retractable pale sail for midday glare.

The president approved after a one-page drawing. Install took two mornings; downstairs neighbours reported no drip issues after the first autumn storm.

Benimaclet dining for six

11 m² · open north breeze · design fee €3.480

A family hosted weekly dinners and needed a table that did not trap wind. We chose an open-base metal frame with a timber top, bench seating against the wall, and citrus pots ballasted for tramontana weeks.

Elevator limits forced a two-piece tabletop. Evening lamp on a dimmer keeps faces lit without spilling into the street.

What these projects share

Each started with measures and a week of lived observation — tape on the floor, temporary chairs, honest talk about noise and watering. Drawings followed only after the messy reality was clear.

Fees covered design and coordination; clients paid suppliers directly. Ask for references when you get in touch — we share contacts with permission.

Publishing and privacy

Addresses stay private. We never publish door numbers or interior shots that identify a household without written consent.

If your project could help others in a similar building type, we may ask to include anonymised plans in a future case page — always optional.
